Amanda Heisey serves with the Christian Academy of Guatemala (CAG) teaching 4th grade. After completing her student teaching at CAG, God has presented the need and given her a heart for the Latin-American community and culture. She is very excited to find God calling her to teach in Guatemala now.
Representing over 50 mission boards, CAG provides a quality American-accredited education for missionary kids so their parents can continue their work on the field. CAG is a non-profit, non-denominational, private school whose ministry is to the English speaking, missionary community of Guatemala. As an Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) member school, CAG serves over 230 students in Guatemala City. One of the main reasons missionaries leave is because of their children’s educational needs. CAG aims to provide a means for missionaries to do the work God has called them to without concern for their children’s education.
