Grant and Jennifer Haynes minister among the unreached people groups in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico focusing specifically on the Mixteco Indians. |
|
Grant and Jennifer Haynes desire to see churches planted among the many unreached people groups of the state of Oaxaca. Tlaxiaco is their home and the main market town for the Mixteco Indians. It is a beautiful village up in the mountains and a very strategic place for reaching out to the lost.
Grant and Jenn have started a missions base where they hold a missionary training school for English-speakers that desire to become missionaries among unreached people groups. The base is also used to host short-term missions trips and missionary interns throughout the year. These teams focus on construction, medical/dental work, community service, and relationship evangelism. This helps open doors to long-term work in several different Mixteco villages.
The Haynes are also trying to plant churches in seven different villages with the help of the missionary training school students. They teach English as a way of getting into these closed places and begin developing relationships with the students, teachers, parents, and authorities. The ultimate goal is to see self-sufficient indigenous churches planted among each of these people groups. Discipling and developing national leaders is aone of the high priorities.
