Kacie Kripner serves with Villages of Hope Africa as the International Team Leader in both, Gulu, Uganda and the United States. God has called Villages of Hope Africa to love the Acholi people as God loves us. VOHA builds relationships and partners with villages to return, rebuild, and restore through four core objectives: water, agriculture, education, and pastoral training.
Kacie was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas by a family that taught her that Christ is truly the foundation of her life. Kacie was very involved in her church youth group, and at a young age recognized that her heart beat a little differently than most on the mission field. She attended and graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, then pursued her “dream job” working as an animal trainer at SeaWorld. As she began her career, it wasnt long until God called her back to missions in 2011 when she went to Uganda for the first time.
On this trip, God reminded her of her heartbeat for the mission field, and began to reveal to her who He was calling her to be. She began working with Villages of Hope Africa, training and leading teams on short-term mission trips to Uganda, as she also continued her full time job with SeaWorld. After almost four years of serving with VOHA part-time, God has clearly called Kacie to serve full-time with the ministry. “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me”. –John 10:26
Kacie is excited to take this step of faith, as she begins a new season of her life as a full-time missionary with Villages of Hope Africa. Although there is heartbreak in leaving her childhood dream job, she is certain that God is all that He promises to be. She is confident that He will overflow those little pockets of heartbreak with His love. Her greatest desire in life is to serve and abandon herself to Christ, wherever and however He calls her.
Please pray for Gods guidance, protection, and provision. Pray that people would see Christ, rather than Kacie as she walks through the villages of Uganda and the cities of the United States. Pray that she may have the strength and endurance to be the hands and feet of Christ; that she may have the compassion and love to share the heart of Christ.
