The Rodriguez family has been living and working in Valledupar, Colombia since 2011. Our vision is to train leaders; preparing and equipping them to better fulfill the purpose to which God has called them. We also have a heart toward the indigenous people of Colombia.
We work with the local denomination Iglesias Biblica Misionera. Alfonso is from Colombia but he received his degree from the Baptist University of the Americas in San Antonio, TX. He came to the States because he had a passion to study theology and bring sound doctrinal teaching and training to his home country. Lillie felt a call to missions at a very young age. She is a teacher who loves to work with children and youth. She teaches Sunday and tutors students in English.
Alfonso is currently teaching at the Bible institute whose mission is to train and equip leaders for service in the kingdom. Alfonso just started working on his master’s degree. We also work with short term mission teams both local and international. In 2014, we helped plant a church in the south part of the city and we are currently working with another couple to plant a church in the north part of the city. Our vision is to plant a church that is intentionally missions minded. We are involved in helping ministries to the Aruako and Wiwa tribes.
We have three children, Ezra, (5) who was born in Colombia, Roshanah (9) and Nehemiah (11).
