Serving in

Rodney and Laura Andrew

Rodney & Laura both grew up in the metro-Atlanta area.  They were married in 2004 and have two daughters, Stella & Annabelle. Having both gone through recovery in their early adult years they both knew that God would use their pasts to minister to other broken people and use that as a way to share the Gospel.  In 2012, Rodney went on his first mission trip to Jaco, Costa Rica. Rodney immediately began to feel that God was calling their family to that part of the world into full-time missions.  After much prayer and a second trip to Jaco with Laura, they knew beyond a doubt that was where God was calling their family.

They will be partnering with Iglesia Radical in Jaco. Iglesia Radical is a thriving evangelical church that has a tremendous influence within the community. Esperanza Radical is a non-profit ministry started by Iglesia Radical  that focuses on ministering to at-risk teens in the community through a variety of programs. The programs include tutoring, school sponsorship, discipleship and vocational training. Their primary goal when they get to Costa Rica will be to further develop this ministry and bring new creative ways to reach teens in the area.

They also feel that God is leading them to minister to men, women and children who have been victims of sexual exploitation and trafficking. Jaco and Costa Rica are quickly becoming what some consider the sex-trafficking capital of the western hemisphere. Their long-term vision is to start an after-care facility for children who have been rescued from sex-trafficking as well as a day program for girls and boys who are at-risk of being trafficked.
