Growing quickly since its inception in 2007, CTEN Canada was ready to call its first full-time Director in 2010. It is Trevor’s and Jana’s desire to see healthy, fulfilled individuals and families serving effectively in missions in the place God has called them. Trevor and Jana’s work encompasses necessary administration, as well as equipping and encouraging Canadians serving internationally with CTEN.
Trevor and Jana came to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in 1983, through the distress of their broken marriage. They both gave control of their lives to Jesus – and have never looked back! That spring, the Ebys were listening to a presentation given by a veteran missionary when he pointed directly at Trevor and asked, “What are you doing with your life that will count for eternity?” That question resonated deeply with them both. In response, the Ebys earnestly sought the Lord’s leading and were soon on their way to Bible school to prepare for missions.
In the fall of 1988 they were living in Athens, Greece and serving with a small Greek-based mission team. Their work, their joy, was primarily in friendship evangelism to Iranian refugees. This also involved pastoring a small Iranian fellowship. Seven years later Trevor and Jana returned to Canada to see their daughters ‘safely launched’, as well as to establish a Canadian office for the organization with which they were serving.
In early 2011, with 23 years of missions experience behind them, Trevor and Jana sensed that a new door for effective ministry was opening to them through the opportunity of joining CTEN to become Canadian Director. They are delighted to be helping ordinary people partner with God to accomplish the extraordinary!
