Joseph and Alyssa Welch
Joe and Alyssa Welch serve as missionaries at Hôpital Baptiste Biblique in Togo, West Africa. Sent by City of God Church in Lafayette, Indiana, the Welches are passionate about using their gifts to serve the people of Togo both physically and spiritually.
Joe serves in financial administration at the hospital, helping steward resources and ensure operational stability. He also leads a growing sports ministry, using soccer as a bridge to connect with local youth and share the hope of the gospel through relationships and discipleship.
Alyssa is a general surgeon at the hospital, providing essential surgical care to a region in great need. She also plays a vital role in training the next generation of African surgeons through the PAACS (Pan-African Academy of Christian Surgeons) residency program, equipping them with both clinical excellence and a foundation in Christ-centered service.
Joe and Alyssa have two children, Eden and Gil, and are committed to long-term ministry in Togo. Their heart is to see lives transformed by the love of Christ, through healing hands, wise stewardship, and gospel-centered community.
