Medical insurance is a necessary part of your support while on the mission field.

  • Provincial health insurance plans do not offer adequate coverage when you are overseas.

  • In some countries you may be able to get good in-country medical insurance. But, if you needed to be medically evacuated and then obtain medical care in Canada, this would be very costly, especially as there is a requalifying time to get back on your provincial care plan.

Here’s a Solution!
If you (or your spouse) is a Canadian citizen under the age of 70, you are eligible to join CTEN Canada’s Group Medical Insurance program. This is a comprehensive insurance program that covers 100% of eligible costs with no deductible or co-insurance, including prescription drugs. It also provides a minimal level of life insurance and disability insurance, both of which may be increased if you wish, for a reasonable rate.
