Bryan and Nicole Silver

Bryan and Nicole and their 4 children will be serving the international community of Rome, Italy. Bryan will serve as the associate pastor of Rome International Church (romeinternationalchurch.com), with a focus on mental health support and spiritual growth and development for immigrants, refugees, and international students and workers. Bryan will be the only known mental health expert bringing a faith integration to the city of Rome, and will be mentoring new counseling missionaries to multiply impact throughout the city. Nicole hopes to bring her experience in children’s ministry and creative communication to further support and encourage the church and the surrounding community.

The city of Rome is a romantic experience for tourists, but the locals express a strong sense of hopelessness, and little awareness of where to turn for hope. Families are largely struggling and disconnected, and the many refugees and immigrants of Rome have limited emotional and logistical support resources. The city is also almost entirely disconnected from God. Despite Rome being home to the Vatican, their churches are empty on Sundays, with only 1% of Catholics under the age of 85 attending church more than 3 times a year.

Bryan and Nicole are committed to building meaningful relationship with the people of Rome, caring for their hearts and their needs however they can, and pointing them to the immense love of Jesus as the ultimate place to find Healing and Hope.
