Karen Wiens

Karen spent three years teaching English in Mokpo, South Korea. During her final year, she felt God calling her away from Korea and to a time of volunteering. So, she made the difficult decision to leave Mokpo and started serving at YUGO Ministries in Mexico. She thought her time at YUGO would only last a month or two, but God had different ideas. Karen has always loved serving within the church and has the desire to work in the church, and at the exact time she came to YUGO, the ministry saw a need to plant a bilingual service. Karen became deeply involved working with the church, as they needed a coordinator; during her time serving, God continuously opened doors to her and she decided to become a missionary.

Karen now serves at YUGO Ministries as Administrative Coordinator. She coordinates the Sunday services from a logistical standpoint - organizing volunteers and ensuring everything is prepared for Sunday services at YUGO Church. She also does administrative tasks for organizing the incoming teams who come to Mexico to build homes for people.

It is incredible to see how God worked in the life of Karen, using her organizational talents and passion for serving within the church to help in Mexico. She is excited to serve at YUGO Ministries and spread the love of Christ, helping the people who attend YUGO Church to Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose, and Make a Difference.
