Jordan and Kiara Watts
Jordan and Kiara serve as church planters in one of Canada’s most impoverished neighborhoods, Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside in British Columbia. They work and live among those who suffer under the weight of addiction, homelessness, poverty, and mental illness to name a few.
It is their desire to build pathways of discipleship through hospitality, one-on-one mentoring, and meeting the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the community. This is all to facilitate and establish a community of faith that loves Jesus, loves his word, and loves their neighbors.
Jordan and Kiara have been married since 2019 and have two daughters, Piper and Margo. They spent four years in the North End of Winnipeg in Manitoba, where they helped start an urban campus for Millar College of the Bible.
The Downtown Eastside is often deemed hopeless and is feared by many. However, no one there will know who Jesus is unless his people are there. Jordan and Kiara strive to live out the love and power of Christ and his gospel amid brokenness.
