Peter and Teresa Cawthon
Teresa and I have been married for almost 50 years. She's from Central California, and I'm from Houston. We met while both in full-time ministry, and soon we moved to Mexico. In all, we've served in three cities in Mexico and have lived there for over 35 years. Most recently, we've worked in Oaxaca for 28 years and were involved in hosting church planting mission teams and managing a Spanish Christian lending library.
A couple of years ago, the Lord prompted us to move back to Texas, where we could focus on reaching America as well as our 16 grandkids, plus continue to be engaged in Oaxaca. Now we're “passing the baton” to the nine Gateway Fellowship churches of central Texas. (We attend the Gateway church in Kerrville, TX.) The transition has gone smoothly, and Teresa and I are delighted that such an excellent group is continuing in our footsteps in reaching Oaxaca. We continue raising funds to support the work in southern Mexico and, at the same time, continue to visit Oaxaca. Your donations will help with our travel expenses plus offset the expenses for the Oaxaca Gateway team, outreach expenses, and support the Oaxacan workers and pastors. As of 2023, a couple from Gateway has moved permanently to Oaxaca and are hosting many short-term mission teams.
