Frank and Mary Lou Ticknor

Frank and Mary Lou relocated to the coast of Oaxaca, Mexico, in October 2020. They had ministered among the Zapotec people in the mountains of Oaxaca for 18 years and helped the women start their quilt shop called Hilos de Amor. They are continuing their ministry of sharing Christ stitch by stitch at Roca Blanca Mission and the rural town where they live. A trade school is part of this Bible training school for indigenous people. Here, Mary Lou shares the scripture and the love of Christ while teaching students and local women hand sewing and Bible-based quilt blocks. They are also involved in building relationships in their new area by attending prayer groups and a community church. Frank and Mary Lou are second-career missionaries who met in Oaxaca and married in 2002. Their blended family includes the blessing of 10 adult children and 22 grandchildren.
